iPod Video Converter

Using VLC (http://videolan.org) seems to be the fastest and best way to convert video files to an iPod Video-compatible format.

The only thing this Widget does is call VLC with right parameters to convert your video file. After entering the paths to VLC and the output folder in the preferences, just drop any video file on the Widget and conversion is started. That's it!

Of course, VLC has to be installed to make the Widget work. ;-)

Michael, I have a question. I've got the widget and it's working great! Nice job! When converting AVI to iPod through the widget, everything works great except no sound plays. Any advice? Thanks.

ok, i downloaded VCL and the widget and did the installation, but every time that i try to open the widget i get an error message saying that either it's not a widget or i don't have access to the file. i am the admin on this computer, what am i missing?

There is no connection to iTunes. The Output Folder is nothing more then the folder, where the converted files are stored. You have to import the files to iTunes manually.
