Japan Railway Station Melodies

Forget phone ringtones. Japan Railway (JR) stations play different amusing melodies, to give passengers warning for when the train doors are about to close. This Widget will play some of these cute synthesized jingles from stops around Japan. Now use it to condition the behavior of your co-workers, so they know when you are about to kick them out of your office.

Mandyi got this, and i really like it! i notice that some ohter people are having problems, though. if its a human error, than i can prolly help. if not, i dont get computer mumbo jumbo.
If there's no sound: try double clicking instead of clicking it one.
If you don't want to change the station every time: there's an option entitled 'random'. choose that, it'll give you a different one every time.

Yamanote line jingle
MartinWhat's the jingle I heard so many times in Shinagawa station, hopping on the JR Yamanote line? The "Yamanote" one in this little widget sounds different...

Not the tunes I expected, and difficult to use
AThis small widget is not great. You have to go to the preferences dialog box to change the station. And the list of stations is not very comprehensive. The famous tunes from the JR Yamanote line are absent. The only one I recognised was "keikyu" which is the name of a company running many trains, not a station.

AaronI live in a small town where there are no subways/metros or anything like this, so it's neat to hear what other countries play in their mass transit systems.
