I managed to convert the widget, but the result is the same.
Does your plug-in really intend to execute a Unix shell script on Windows ? Isn't there then a requirement on Cygwin ?

The widget converter is part of the widget tools provided by yahoo. You can download the widget converter from:

What is your "converter" command ?
Not shipped with XP.

The problem may be due to the flat file format in which I have submitted the widget.
The widget seems to work fine in the exploded (unflat) format.

Download the widget and do the following:
converter -unflat jarget.widget -o C:/jarget.widget

Open the dir: C:/jarget.widget/Contents/
and click on the jarget.kon to run the widget.

In the meanwhile I shall try and resolve the issue with the flat file format submission of the widget.
