Job Timer

by DD

This Widget counts up instead of down. It is useful for timing how long a job, presentation, or any other task takes. There are 5 banks to store times in, so you can actually time 5 simultaneous tasks at once. You can also name your job. Please right-click the Widget to learn more about some features.

I am finding the red color for the reset button a problem. Red means stop. If I am in a hurry, I still find my self reflexively clicking on the red button to stop the timer and it gets reset. Very aggravating. How about changing the button from red to black? Or maybe make the red button stop the timer and making the corresponding space on the other side reset the timer?

re the date format: here in Europe we use dd-mm-yyyy or dd-mmm-yyyy
will implement these in the future ?

Thanks for your efforts, nice job!

Not sure what has happened, but the dates in the little pop-up panel are messed up. They show something like 'undefined-353-2006.' They used to work, but I didn't notice when they stopped working. Perhaps with 1.2?

    Thanks for a great widget.

Great widget, just a thought, it would be great if the times could be saved in a CSV or XLS format to keep track of the time spent in a saved file.

Also, I don't know how the csv export works, but at least for my purposes, it's most useful if the data items are broken into the smallest pieces possible and put into itheir own fields. So if there is a start date, start time, end date, and end time, I'd set up the csv so that each of those items goes in its own cell in a spreadsheet. It's easy enough to recombine this stuff together in a spreadsheet or data base later, and more complicated to split it apart there.

    But at least More
