A word game where the player earns points by making words out of a given set of letters. Jumbalaya is similar to other anagram games, such as Text Twist. A great game for word lovers!
Snuffy: I purposefully limited the vocabulary of the easier levels to include only more "common" words, and thus prevent players from getting stumped too easily on the 6/7-letter words. However, after I made that decision regarding difficulty levels, I changed the "advancement" requirements to be more flexible, allowing for advancement if a certain number of points or a percentage of words is guessed.
Perhaps a better way of differentiating the difficulty levels would be to only use one (complete) word list, and adjust the time/advancement requirements. Any thoughts?
Thank you! Its pretty and good! I am having a lot of fun with this!
So far I cannot see a clear difference between the levels, but the dictionary should be the same for all levels. The game cannot say to a player on an easier level: "Forget that word, you may not know it on your level" :D
Differences between levels that I'd expect as a player are a tougher time limit and that I have to get more words (but have all possibilities) on a more difficult level.
But you did a very good …job on this widget and the dictionary is not SMALL, so please nobody stay away from it because of our comments!More
This is a VERY cool widget! Jumbalaya has provided me with hours of entertainment! But when I was playing Battlefield 2142, it changed my screen resolution and now the widget is off the side of my screen! And I have tried everything I could think of to get it back to where it was before and I was wondering if you could make an option to "Reset" the widget back to its original place. If you could that would be great! Thanks!
