Kalculator

by Daniel Dickison

A Widget designed to behave very much like standard-issue pocket calculators. Includes trig, square root, exponent, logarithm and inverse functions. Controllable by mouse and keyboard. Some useful features are unit conversions, displays for memory content and repeated operations, hexidecimal display, and a minimized mode that snaps to screen edges.

Click-and-hold on the number display for unit conversion, copy, hex, and donations ;-)

    How about a calculator that uses RPN notation?

    ie: 2 + 2 = 4 <==> 2 [enter] 2 [enter] "+"

    it's much faster!!!

    Thanks for all the stars ;) AFAIK, I can't use Command-C, but I'll make just plain "c" be copy in the next version.

    I've done some optimization to speed up those buttons marginally for the next release. They're still sluggish but I think that's about the best I can do. FYI, using keyboard input is much faster.

    The bug with multiple monitors: I don't have a second monitor so I can't test this. I'll try to figure it out, or get someone on the More

    I love this widget, but it seems to have issues with multiple displays.

    If I position it on the 2nd display, and turn off all the snap and minimizing features, it still moves to the main display on launch.

    Also, for some reason all the type on the keys on mine are in italics. Odd.

    The only thing I can suggest for this Widget is the ability to use Command-C to copy the output. Other than that, it's very nice. :-)

    Great thing! Too bad it behaves a little sluggish compared to Mac OS' built in calculator, but oh well... :) The snap-to-edge thingy is great for doing calculations, switching back to the application you were doing the calculation for and still being able to see the result.
