I absolutely love this widget. I'm using 1.2 because I don't like that strange grey bar at the top in the newest version. But that's not my question.
I'm having trouble using this widget more than once. I want to be able to see three different text files, so I renamed the original widget and now have three different file names. As I start each one, it starts with the last widget's info, which I switch to the new filename, colour, etc. Everything works fine until I have …to close the Konfabulator and re-open it again (e.g., on reboot or if something hangs). Anyway, when I reopen the Konfabulator, all of my widgets come back, include my three Konsoulmates. However, all three Konsoulmates come back with the exact same preferences set, i.e., to the exact same file. Is there any way of making the filename/colour prefernces stick so that I can use three versions of this widget to watch three different files? Thanks!More

version 1.3 Gaco
Very useful app to keep an non-obstrusive eye on my logs. I used to do this using transparent terminals in Linux, now I can do the same in windows.
I do have one request. Some of my logs report results in groups. Sometimes those groups are larger than 15, so, being able to see only the last 15 rows from the file is not as useful. Could you increase this max number of rows? Having a max of 100 would be a lot more useful.
Thanks for a nice tool :)

Mike!
I found the bug with the update interval reverting back to default values. And I'm sorry to say that I've also noticed some hang-ups. I'm working right now on that issue.
I added version 1.3 a couple of days ago to the library for the timeconsuming aprovalproccess. The correction for the update interval bug isn't in version 1.3 it have to wait until ver 1.4 (or maybe a maintenence release 1.3.1).
And sure if you like to help, you can contact me by e-mail: henrik_virking at yahoo dot se.

Thanks for the update!
I'm still having the update interval issue. I'm setting the interval to about 15 seconds, saving and then restarting the machine, after boot up it's reverted back to about 3 seconds again. Going into the options displays ~15 seconds as I selected and pressing save makes it work again until the next reboot.
I'm also getting an issue where the widget will lock up after 5 or 6 hours of use, and it also refuses to close when Windows is shutting down, requirin…g me to do an end task.
Otherwise it's great! The character clipping is incredibly useful, as is turning off the background.
If you want me to help with tracking down the bugs let me know how I can contact you. (paranoid about giving my own email addy out in public!)
