KonStat

A tiny Widget - minimum of 28x20 pixels - that monitors a URL you choose, and simply tells you whether the URL is working or not in an unobtrusive fashion. (Read on below for info on how to use KonStat.)

I would like to use this to monitor some internal work sites. But those sites request id/password input. Is there a way to add this feature in?

Otherwise, love the tool.

Sorry about that problem with the memory. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. It sounds like a memory leak to me. I will investigate and upload a bugfix in a few day's time. For now, There shouldn't be a problem if you close and open the widget svery day or so (if you turn on your computer every day, this is already being done).

Huge memory hog...after 3 days was using over 170 MB.

It seems to be somewhat sluggish; on right-clicking it, it blocks almost entire (WinXP, 2.4 GHz) system for a few seconds.

Anyone sure this works? When I click on it, it takes me to google, the default. No matter what I type in the URL box, I go to google instead.
