Hey everybody, apologies for the delay in responding to the posts, I try to read them a few times a week but the holidays and subsequent time off got me out of my routine. Anyways, yes there was a bug in the code, well not really a bug, an API call that was changed in the WFC 5.2 release on which I wrote the widget making it not work properly in older versions. The good news is that I fixed it with this latest version, 1.2, and it should be able to run on atleast 5.0 and higher, maybe even 4.x…, I don't have a copy of those versions to test on.
Thanks so much for your support and for your feedback. If you wish to contact me please do so at my firstname.lastname@kronos.comMore
I am so sorry, I discovered a bug that prevents the widget from working properly with WFC versions prior to 5.2 (the version I was using when writing it). Fortunately it is an easy bug, and I hope to have a new version up here soon.
Apologies for the delay in responding, I took some time off and of course the holidays as well.
I think I'm closer to getting this to work. Under the Yahoo Widgets Preferences, on the Advanced tab, I changed it to use "No Proxy". It was set to Use IE Proxy settings, but I don't think it was doing the exclusions properly. No I get the messages about not being able to load a Genie list, and that could be because we are using WFC version 5.0. Is that the reason? saskman7 at yahoo.com
I can't get this to work for me either, but then I don't know the requirements for it to run (Any requirements would be helpful). Do we need WFC 6.0, 5.2, 5.1, 5.0, or 4.3? Does our Kronos Server have to be exposed to the web if we are trying to run this app internally? I can't get a connection to my server. The message mentions checking your network settings, which ones? I can connect to the Kronos application with this PC in IE, so everything should be set up properly, right?…
Tons of potential here, but a little more documentation/information would help out your early adopters. I was patient enough to wait a month after KronosWorks for changes too....More
