Very cute. You should give some credit to the original icon created, like "inspired by ...". Keep your head up !

Cutie pie! She crawls and crawls and crawls. Much better than a static icon.

I see it as "fair use," and anyway, copyright can only be upheld by the original author (not his friend and not konfab). If he doesn't say anything then the ladybug can continue to crawl on desktops around the world. She's not leaving mine anytime soon!
