LED Banner

LED Banner gives you a scrolling LED Banner on your desktop. You can have your own messages, customize the LED and border colors, and resize the length and height of the banner. You can enter a text in the preferences or specify a text file or any number of RSS URLs to be used as the source of the banner text.

MerlinJamo: I had altered the meaning of one RSS flag and added a second flag. That's probably the reason for the confusion. There is a beta of LED Banner 2.4 at http://tinyurl.com/4dep6b . This should be able to cope better with some atom feeds.

JamoThanks Merlin, it's totally working now - didn't know what you meant by flags for a while, but I worked it out. For some insane reason I had the all the boxes unticked, I don't know why I did that. So now it looks great - got it set up in conjunction with WebImages to give me my notcot fix.

Atom Feeds
MerlinIt's working for me with http://www.notcot.org/atom.php as Primary URL. You also have to set various flags in the RSS preference pane. Try setting all of them.

JamoThanks for the the help. But.. it didn't quite work. Just get this : : in the scroll bar. At least it's not completely rejecting the URL. Guess I'll just have to wait...
Are you NOTCOT.ORG fan by any chance Merlin? Someone really needs to make a notcot widget that shows the latest post and description. I can't code xml and java, so i can't do it, and don't have time to learn at the moment, but I think it'd be popular.

MerlinThere is a beta of LED Banner 2.3 at http://tinyurl.com/4dep6b . This should work with NOTCOT.ORG and may work with other atom feeds.
