LiveJournal Friends Reader

Finally! A way to check your LJ Friends page without loading it! As of right now, LiveJournal.com only allows you to get the posts of a single user in an RSS request. It's almost perfect.
Now would there be a way to put your mouse over a subject and read part, if not all, of the posted entry. Maybe even if it was a pic it could show that? (I get this example from Klipfolio...)

Great widget, but it can't work with russian codepage :(

Unfortunately, due to the lack of RSS feed and the variance of HTML code on friends page, the only generic way to access the friends page is through LiveJournal's mobile version of the website, which requires authentication. However, the password is sent via SSL so it is completely secure.

This is a great idea. What bout an offline mode so that you don't have to put your password in the widget? Or so you could load other people's friends pages?
