Im no programmer, im just putting to words what everyone else has hinted at, which could actually make this a game alternate, great start just needs additions:
add a "snap to grid" option to set up the game like its actually a game, this includes a deck location, grave, and mana spots.
have a "face down" option for when you pile the deck, kinda dumb playing with your opponent knows your cards
shrink the card sizes, but have a rollover function that makes the cards bigger. mor…e cards on screen this way
the deck location on the grid needs a shuffle option, so that you could actually play, instead of a rigged deck
"save deck" option, i personally get kinda tired of having to rebuild my deck every time i accidentally hit "close widget" on the right click
and finally a few counters would be nice, something with 2 arrows for adding subtracting whatever, and a "set to" option
anyhoo just some things that would make this widget sweetMore
Please change the description for this widget which states "Put a MTG game on your desktop!" This is not a game!
Also, it is very limited in both cards and configs. Where does it get the card art? It would be nice to configure such... especially for those of us who have MSE(Magic Set Editor)
This is what I had suggested below, I just didn't post it. This might prevent the "I don't know the cards", or "this doesn't save my cards". It looks different and the code is *very* different. It is not meant to "replace" the original.
I apologize in advance if this offends the author.
For people who aren't sure, you use double click on the card to 'tap' it, AKA turn it sideways.
I've forgotten so many magic cards. For a retired magic player like me its fun to go back over memory lane and see all the cards I love. Serra Angel, Black Lotus, heck, even seeing Ertai again made me grin. Kind of a shame you need to imput card names manually, would love to see a randomize card draw feature. This widget is on its way to being something promising. :) (which is why its only 3 out of 4)
