Mail Candy
Small, discreet, and oh so sweet!
This is a simple in-box monitoring Widget that works with Mac OS X Mail. The candy shows gray when there are no unread messages. The candy changes color (and optionally pulsates) when new messages arrive.
To move the Widget, hold down the command key while dragging.

Love this small, beautiful widget. Only one thing missing for me, it checks mail only when the app is open. I would like it to check mail when the app is closed as GotMail does. When mail is open it checks by itself anyway. I now use both widgets, this one just because it looks so good.

January 23, 2005 · version 1.6.2 MJMJGreat widget; can't live without it. Suggestion: when you click on it, the main Mail window should come up, as it does when you click on mail in the dock. Then it would be perfect! Oh, one more thing, make a version/preference where it is just a small square, same height as now, but equal in length to its height. That's all the visual cue that's needed. Great widget! Can't understand why Mail's notification, or lack thereof (visually), is soooo terrible.

December 25, 2004 · version 1.6.2 HardKnoxHi, Curt: Love your widget. I would like to be able to differentiate between different accounts in my In box. My wife and I both have .Mac email accounts, and I would like to be able to check each account individually, using copies of Mail Candy. Any good ideas on how to do this? Thanks.
