Weird.. usually when I click into the text entry of the widget it does not show any kind of cursor. That changes when I start to enter anything. So it might or might not be a widget-only related 'issue'. It's just irritating not to have a blinking cursor before entering, that's all ;).
I suck at graphics, hence my #3. I can make so-so Images, but then I never get it to look good with an alpha channel, so your great widget looks sucky because of …my bad graphics.
How about as first step making the standard images available (e.g. drop-down at the custom config) - Google alone has so many languages, the picture could be used with one's own language Google.More

Matthew, see my comment below dated August 9. It will clear up your return character issue for you.
Joe, you can use any graphics format supported by Konfab. I know png and gif are both. jpg maybe? You can even link out to a graphic on the web if you really want to, but I can't promise it will look good. As for the letters, I should spend some time, I guess, making a collection of graphics that can ship with it that you could use as buttons, including some letters or numbers. That'…;s going to take some time, but might be worth it.....It's funny that you say a blinking cursor would be nice. I find that after I do a search where I press enter for the default that I have a blinking cursor there all the time, and I want to get rid of it.....What OS are you on?More

A few ideas:
#1: A blinking cursor at the text entry would be nice.
#2: Clicking on a search without entering anything takes you to the homepage.
#3: Instead of having to make a graphic, having an option of entering a letter to click would be nice.
GREAT Widget!

Great widget.
However, which file format should the custom graphics have? It's not stated.

I had a previous comment and I need to update it a bit; Pressing enter does 1 thing now; it no longer enters the search but puts a return character in the text, so that when you do the next search, it does the previous search. You actually have to delete the previous search and then type. So, two things, on key press for enter, it should do the search and null out the key press. Also, it would be nice if whey you double-clicked on the text, it would highlight.
