microPlayer is a compact and tiny audio player intended to keep the Widget small and save valuable desktop space. It can play a single audio file, a folder full of audio files, playlist files, or CD audio tracks.
You can play audio without Windows Media Player, iTunes, Winamp, or other audio players open. Uses COM (WMPlayer.OCX). Tested on Windows XP Pro / Windows Media Player 9..

DougI figured out how to place it on top of other windows. Really enjoying it.

Quite nice!
DougOne suggestion: would it be possible to add functionality to set it on top of other windows independently of the dock? Probably not, I'm new to the widgets experience, I'm guessing the z-axis setting is global only.
