microPlayer

microPlayer is a compact and tiny audio player intended to keep the Widget small and save valuable desktop space. It can play a single audio file, a folder full of audio files, playlist files, or CD audio tracks.
You can play audio without Windows Media Player, iTunes, Winamp, or other audio players open. Uses COM (WMPlayer.OCX). Tested on Windows XP Pro / Windows Media Player 9..
The Widget is able to play MP3 (.mp3), WAVE (.wav), WMA (.wma), AIFF (.aif .aiff), and Sun/NeXT (.au .snd) sound files. Accepts Playlist File Formats M3U ("m3u"), WPL ("wpl") or WAX ("wax") containing valid media items.
Volume, balance and song seeking controls allow you to find and listen to the best parts of the music at a sound level to suit you. A handy mute option also provides silence on demand without stopping the music.
Click on the "On/Off" button to open or close the player. See the Help page in the right-click/Menu for details.

Lenny Pseems to just work.. if I could add one thing I would probably make a play list show of the current loaded directory optional .. but dont get me wrong.. it works great.. with absolutely none of the bs

pius99discrete, functional, skinable. frickin' perfect!
and unlike winamp or @$^*$ itunes, no messy installation especially the $%@& ipod service (among other apple bloatware) that's thrust upon us by cr-apple.
if i were to nitpick, i'd request on-the-fly playlist (drag and drop style) creation but it's dynamite even without it!!
you are a widget creating god among boys!
