mini AirPort Signal

The fifth Widget in the mini Widget series.

mini AirPort Signal is a smaller version of the AirPort Signal Widget that ships with Konfabulator. It's a fraction of the size, and features the ability to display either the network name or signal strength as a percentage. It also has themes to match mini Digital Clock.

She's mini Digital Clock's little sister... She may be younger but she's a lot more mature.

I love all of these widgets, but can they be more functional? In other words, can the Airport Signal Strength widgets call up the Internet Connect box when you double click? that way we could truly get rid of the menu bar doohickeys...I hate redundancy...

Great widget, as usual. But for some reason if I compare three different Airport signal strength meters, I get three different results. Mini shows me 2-of-4 bars, 33%. The full-sized widget shows me 3-of-5 bars. And the OS-supplied signal indicator in the menu bar shows 4-of-4 bars (it doesn't always, but it is right now).

Any insight into this? Is the OS-based version more "trustworthy" than the widgets? Vice versa?

I tend to use widgets as a cool looking/more functional replacement for menu thingies. Sorry about that! Re-rating to a 4 since my -1 star was because of that.

Unfortunately our internal AirPort calls don't support getting available networks (though they could given the code we use to do AirPort stuff). I'll make sure we look into this for a future Konfabulator release.
