NOTE: The FTP server I'm logging into is a local ISP running a veriant of Unix with me in the "ftp.hostname.com/~usersname" home. I entered, as requested "/" as my remote directory.

Thanks for the widget ! It's interesting, but I'm having a few problems getting it to work right on WinXP SP2 with K2.1.
I opened up my FTP program called FileZilla, look at all the settings in there, then try them in your widget, I drag a file called "text.txt" onto the icon, the icon remains red for around 2 mins, then I get the following:
FTP complete
--
Error
test.txt:Error
with an OK button.
If I understand this right . .. does the widget use the FTP command from insid…e Windows somethere? Does it build a set of strings or commands in the wigdet, and then pass them to ftp.exe for execution?More

Nice idea, but I can't use it in its current state.
How about some MD4/MD5 password encryption support? I can't use this tool because I'm 100% against sending passwords "in the clear". Also, a PASV checkbox option would be nice.
