mini iTunes Remote

The eighth Widget in the mini Widget series.

mini iTunes Remote is a complete redesign and coding effort of the iTunes Remote that ships with Konfabulator. This version features a compact design, the ability to change your ratings, and, if you're on OS X 10.3, set your iChat status to your current playing track.

This release of mini iTunes Remote is the first in a series of different appearances.

Excellent Widget. I'm not sure if this has been asked yet, but is there any way I could get this to display the song information for a non iChat program, like Gaim or AIM? Thanks in advance.

Fantastic widget. I don't know though if it's my favorite -- it's definitely neck and neck though with iTunes Companion. And I had problems at first with iTunes 6, but after a reboot, and making sure that iTunes loads before the Remote does, everything works just fine.

BTW, I didn't notice all these comments about left-side trays. I just modified by copy of this widget to have a longer tray (I'm not so keen on scrolling info). Shouldn't be too hard to allow toggling a left-side tray. I'll let everyone know when I'm finished.

Mr. Rose, are you still reading these? Please, allow this widget to display slider information to the left. I can't believe it would take too long to reprogram the wideget accordingly. This is a beautiful piece of work but too disfunctional for most of us who already have everything on the right side of the screen. Thanks.
