Month Calendar

by Merlin

Month Calendar is a resizable calendar showing a month at a time. The month is displayed in weeks, each starting on a Monday or on a Sunday. A week-number is displayed at the start of each week.

A memo can be attached to any date. The first three lines of the memo are displayed in the date's tooltip. Memos are saved as files.

Calendar files (iCal files) can be imported and managed. When enabled and selected, calendar events appear in the dates' tooltips.

Looks great, Does not sync with Google

It says it syncs, and even has a place to accept an iCal feed. But I cannot get anything to actually display, Will not highlight, will not display in tooltips. Shame. Otherwise fairly nice.

    Won't install

Tried several times but keep getting the same error message: Could not open Widget F:\\My Widgets\Month Calendar.widget. It either is'nt a Widget or you don't have access to that file(StartWidgetProcess: Path is invalid)

Month Calendar is not designed to sync with Google or with any other network calendar; nor does it claim to do that. What it can do is to make use of an iCal file, which can be a local file or be fetched from the network. To do this, you have to enter the network URL in the preferences and then shift-click the previous month arrow/button. See the tooltips on the various buttons, etc.

I have just downloaded the Widget from the Windows download link on the Widget History page. It appears to be correct and also runs correctly on the Macintosh - I don't use Windows. Very large numbers of copies are in use on Windows, so I have to conclude that the problem lies with your Windows/Yahoo! Widgets installation and not with the Month Calendar Widget. Have you been able run other Widgets from your F: drive? Will it run on your C: drive?

    Won't Install

Yes, my other widgets run perfectly from the F: drive Widgets folder. The program file is installed on the E: drive. This is a reinstallation but I have never had a problem with any widgets previously. I avoid installing applications on the C: drive whenever possible.
