National Geographic Picture of the Day

Displays the National Geographic Picture of the Day on your desktop. A description of the image is available in a slide out text area that can be positioned on any side of the Widget. Howard, that error means that it failed to download the webpage for some reason. Try right clicking the widget and selecting the manual refresh option to force it to try again.

I just used this Widget for the first time and it said Oh no an error occured during down load and then nothing happened.

Well all I could find was either widgetgallery.com or widgets.yahoo.com or Mark Crossley the football player...so...I'll wait for it to come on here then :) thanks for the speedy response! looking forward to using this one!

Sorry about this Waleed, there is a bug in version 2.0. It will not load on systems that have not run a previous 1.x version.

Version 2.1 fixes this bug and is queued up waiting for approval to appear in the Gallery. Please check back in a day or two - it should be posted by then
