I have implemented and tested a new general preference in version 1.2.0 that allows further isolation of notifications using zones. Valid zones can be found at http://www.weather.gov/alerts/[state].php where "[state]" is the respective state code e.g. “co”. I also added a new location of "US - National", which allows the spanning of zones across multiple states. I initially intended to make the zone preference optional but since I submitted it with a default containing a… few Colorado zones, clearing it will cause the CO zones to come back when you restart the widget. I will either fix this issue or make the new zone preference required; probably the latter.

In addition the 1.2.0 widget allows a refresh rate as low as 5 min.

Version 1.2.0 has already been submitted. I am just waiting for it to be approved and deployed.

Absolutely agree with the others that this widget needs to be able to localize down to the county level. Some states have LOTS of counties, and it reduces the usefulness if you have to wait for a bunch of other warnings to roll by before finding out if your area is affected.

It's cool, but I agree there needs to be a little bit of a faster refresh rate. Maybe 15 minutes? I definately agree with not overwhelming their site. So I think it was a good decision. Also, does anyone know where to get alternative Speech voices? I hate Sam. :)

Nice widget but doesn't scroll, even with Auto Scroll turned on. Upon first loading, it scrolled, but once state was changed to TX, no more scrolling.

Also, concur with previous comments on 5 minute warnings and counties. Here is TX we need all the warning we can get...
