John K - This issue should be fixed now. I've just submitted v1.3 to the Widget Gallery and it is pending approval. I suggest everyone upgrade (again :D) as it should fix most people's issues.

Great little app, with one little bug I have found.
When an interface is downed netstat resets the counters, as it should. The widget however, takes this to mean that the counters have rolled over. This causes my laptop to show that I have transmitted and received around 16GB by the end of the day. Which if true would have caused my network admin to put a hit out on me ;)

great work! What about saving the
total-traffic-values on quit/restart?

Kevin - I'm aware of this issue. It has to do with the logic needed to work around a seperate 4Gb. limit I've been fighting with. I am working on an update that should fix this issue but I can't promise how soon it will be released.
A simple fix for anyone with this problem is to start Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and run the following command:
rm /tmp/NetActen1.tmp
The part right before the ".tmp" should be replaced with your adapter that is set in the preferences.

Hi Daniel,
Awesome job with this widget! :) I downloaded it 2 days ago, and I like it much so far, especially its simple, unobtrusive design.
One comment:
Is there a way to have the counters reset to 0 everytime I disconnect from the internet? I unplugged my ethernet cord from my laptop, and the counters reset themselves to 4GB/4GB/8GB respectively. (I'm not sure if this is related to the rollover problem you described up above. When I plug my ethernet cord back in, it still stays at… 4GB/4GB/8GB, even though I have traffic coming in and out.
The weird thing is, every time I unplug my cord, the counters will increment exactly 4GB, so say if I unplug the cord 4x, I'll get the meters reading 16GB/16GB/32GB. Unfortunately, the counter never resets itself to 0, and the will stay at ___GB forever. :( So I'm not quite sure how to get it working after that.
