yyy3r@Zorlac - due to an unsolved bug in the Yahoo! Widget API the Widget might crash when it attempts to read an invalid feed. Nothing can be done to fix it so we'll have to wait until the Yahoo! developers release a fix for this.
Meanwhile, the Widget lets you load it in safe mode. If you let it run in safe mode it might be able to load itself without crashing. Please give it another try and see if it works.

I just have a problem: I'm reading news in different languages (italian, german...) and the widget doesn't recognize special characters only with italian (è, à and so on...). Would it be possible to fix this problem?

Eddiesame issue as Zorlac ... clicking safe mode does nothing. A bunch of 'loading' text fills down the left side and then it closes.

Try opening the Widget every few hours until it works
yyy3rThere has been a problem with the Yahoo! Widgets feed which caused the Widget to crash but sometimes it doesn't so if the "safe mode" doesn't fix it, try loading the Widget every 3-5 hours until it stops crashing. It might never load successfully but if it does, remove the Yahoo! Widgets feed and it should never crash again.
Again, it's a Widget engine bug which hasn't been fixed yet and nothing can be done to fix it.

WidgetWorldI am glad you like RSS Ticker Tape but each person has their own preferences. I would never use a scrolling RSS reader to handle my RSS news as it would be impossible for me to know at a glance if there was something of interest to me.
The only reason NewsStand is ever flaky that we know of is because of bugs in the engine that we even developed work-arounds to.
