NewsTicker
This Widget will display news headlines in a scrolling ticker, similar to those seen on buildings in Times Square, NYC.
The ticker is movable, sizable, and capable of displaying multiple news-feeds. Clicking on a headline in a feed takes you directly to the news story selected. Also included is an option to pause the ticker and pop up a brief description when the cursor hovers over a headline.

tiktighsThis is my favorite news ticker widget and the only one that I use. I have tried others and they really pale in comparison. Even with it in low quality setting (which I have to run it in because it kills my cpu usage) it still looks great!! Another great product Peter, (I have the TachClock also) keep making more. I haven't been disappointed yet!!

November 16, 2007 · version 1.65 chrisdonovan356Seems like a very useful widget, but how do you move it to a different part of the screen? When I try to drag it, the items in the feed move but the widget stays where it is.

November 16, 2007 · version 1.65 DamoclesThis widget does, however, consume about 40% of my CPU. If I "pause" I get the CPU back, so I'm thinking it is in the graphics/scrolling. Also, when you do click on a headline, rather than open a new web browse window, it takes over an existing one (which ever IE session I used last). I'd rather it open a new one if it could and leave my existing ones alone.

November 16, 2007 · version 1.65 DamoclesI really like the way this Widget works - the scrolling takes up way less desktop realestate than other RSS reader widgets. I also like the pop-up summary, some of the RSS readers just show you the headline and all you can do is click on it to bring up the web page; sometimes the summary is all the detail I need.

Is there a way to dump articles after a couple of days? Some headlines get a little stale before they are updated.
