NHL Team Schedule

Displays the game schedule for a particular National Hockey League team, or the upcoming games for the next 1, 2, or 3 days. Because of the number of games, the games are displayed on a monthly basis. Next and previous buttons allow you to cycle through the months available. Schedule will update as times and scores become available. Columns displayed, logo size, and background opacity are configurable. The conference standings can also be displayed by selecting the appropriate context menu item.

April 08, 2006 · version 1.0.2 PaulOttawaFurther to conference rank, I find this helpful (in fetchConferenceStandings.js, around line 64, in the else of the [if (rows[2] == "colhead")]:
if(iConfRank>8) {
imageOpacity = 192;
textColor='#CCCCCC';
}
because I like to see quickly who's currently in top 8 in the conference, and thus playoff-bound (of course, color and opacity should probably be in preferences but this is a quick fix). This also helps to remind me just how much the Leafs suck.

March 19, 2006 · version 1.0.2 SarahHi RBW, that's a good idea, but unless there's a web page (and I couldn't find one on ESPN or NHL.com) that shows the schedule by League, I won't be able to add that functionality in time for this year's playoffs. I'm pretty sure I can do it given the data my widget stores now, but I wouldn't be "scraping a page", I'd have to add in all this extra logic for determining what games to show. I will,however, try to get it in for next year.

Getting closer to the playoffs makes me ask this question- is is possible, when the widget is in "team" mode, to add a menu selection that provides the the overall league schedule for the next three days (the schedule choice when in "Upcoming Games" mode) as a choice separate from the team's schedule? Still really like the widget; thanks again.

February 25, 2006 · version 1.0.2 SarahHi Nate- That is pretty unusual. Unfortunately, deleting a widget doesn't delete it's settings (it's a Yahoo! thing; nothing I can do about that). The widget's position (and some other info) is stored in the Registry (Windows) or a plist file (Mac). Even if you delete the widget, when you re-launch it, it will check the Registry/plist file to see where it should position itself.
