NOAA Hurricane 2006
Downloads both static and loop images from the National Hurricane Center. This Widget will also find and display the graphics for any currently active tropical storm.
Regions supported include Atlantic, East Coast, East Pacific, Central Pacific, Caribbean. Will view visible and infrared static and looped images as well as 3 day, 5 day and hurricane wind probabilities.
Aesthetically, the frame can be re-colored to your own taste and it can be resized.

Great widget! I figure out how/where in your code you are parsing out and getting the detailed 3day forecast gifs.
I am stuck with the translation between something like
/refresh/graphics_ep3+shtml/023024.shtml?3day?large#contents
to
/storm_graphics/EP03/refresh/EP0307W_sm2+gif/023024W_sm.gif
I kinda see where the different elements map into the image URL but if you have any insight on how you are getting this to work, I would appreciate it.

I can't duplicate the problem with the IR or IR loop. The preferences is to set the initial view upon opening the widget, the pull down list will set the current view. Do you think I should set the current view when the Initial View option is changed? You may be experiencing a delay from a sluggish internet connection, the loops can contain up to 10 images and NOAA can impose 5 seconds of delay (or more).
