I apologize to all who have recently downloaded version 2.1 of the widget only to find that it may not load feeds properly. Yahoo's recent release of version 4.5 of the widget engine introduced an issue with the feed loading that had not previously been an issue. I have fixed the issue and submitted a new version (2.11) to the gallery. It will be posted as soon as Yahoo has a chance to review it for the gallery. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope that Yahoo will post the update soon. Thank you for using the widget!

Hey! This was a great widget until the 2.1 update!!! It won't fetch the headlines anymore! I think you fixed this issue in the new 2.11 update but it says its not available for download! When can you fix this?

Oddly enough, after upgrading to the latest version and Yahoo Widget Engine 4.5.1, the widget can no longer load headlines. It just hangs at "Fetching headlines; please stand by."

I love the widget by the way.

I've used this Widget for several months, and love it. Since upgrading to the latest version a couple of days ago, however, it doesn't work (on my machine, at least). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the main Widgets program and have fiddled with my firewall's settings, but as yet it will not fetch any headlines.

This could just be something affecting my machine, and not a problem with the Widget itself, and based on previous versions, I heartily recommend it (hence the five…-star rating).

If anyone could help me solve the problem I'm having, though, it'd be much appreciated... (sorry, I wasn't sure where to go for support). More

manekineko, This issue has been addressed in the 2.1 release. It is an issue with how Yahoo! Widget Engine 4.0 now identifies widgets. Hopefully they will fix this in a future release (there have been many comments on the forum about it), but in the meantime, download version 2.1 and you'll again be able to launch as many copies as you want!
