New to widgets here, but this is a great one. Like the fact that you can turn off notifications at night so I can just leave it running all the time.

The fact is, you can manually refresh it as often as you want, and you can set it to automatically update anywhere from every 30 minutes to every 24 hours. Also, the New York Times RSS feeds do not update often enough to warrant a more frequent schedule. It would be both pointless and rude (because of the high server load) to update the feed more often than every 30 minutes. But, if… you would like to do so, go ahead and update it manually; there's really nothing stopping you.

Please consider the entire widget before posting a 1 star review just for not automatically updating every few minutes. A lot of time and effort was put into developing this widget and it is provided here for free for your enjoyment. More
