Would it be possible to improve the failure handling of the widget when there is no Internet connection? Currently, it just blanks out and has those red words telling the user no connection is available. A much better solution would be to continue to show the latest headlines that the widget was able to succesfully download before the Internet was disconnected, while somehow signaling that there is no current connection or that the last successful update was at X:XX pm. For example, how the o…fficial Yahoo! weather widget handles disconnects. This would be a much prettier and more usable implementation for those of us without an always on connection. More

An easy way to spawn multiple instances of the widget is to copy and rename the widget file itself so you have two actual copies of the widget running. For example, in your Widgets folder you would have the two following files:
"NY_Times_Reader.widget"
"NY_Times_Reader1.widget"
Just open them both up and you can view whatever two feeds you want.

A terrific addition to my desktop. Would it be possible to run more than one copy of the widget? I currently have "Most E-mailed" as my choice, but I'd love to have the "Front Page" on my desktop, too.

I tinkered around a bit and finally found a solution to the pesky apostrophe problem. Version 1.8 (once it is approved for the gallery) fixes it--no more weird boxes in the headlines!
