The new version has finally made its way into the Widget Gallery. If Yahoo! gives you trouble saying you already have the widget and won't download the new version (not sure why this happens) just go here:

I am aware of the HTML tags issue, David, and, with version 2.5, I have addressed it and added/enhanced many other features. Unfortunately, I submitted the new version to Yahoo! three weeks ago and they still have not updated it here in their widget gallery. From reading the forums it sounds like they have quite a backlog of widgets that need approval. Until Yahoo! is able to update the gallery with the new version, please contact me to request a copy of version 2.5 via the 'Provide Feedback' link in the NY Times Reader widget's context menu. Sorry for the inconvenience.

First off I like this Widget, but I'm having one single problem with it. When I display the tooltip of a story I end up seeing a bunch of HTML tags which seem to be the story's image and wrapped in a link. I basically end up getting 4.5 lines of story and then 9.5 lines of HTML Getting a larger summary would be far useful than seeing these tags. If there is a setting I'm missing thats causing this I'd love to get this taken care of, but so far I haven't seen one.

I apologize to all who have recently downloaded version 2.1 of the widget only to find that it may not load feeds properly. Yahoo's recent release of version 4.5 of the widget engine introduced an issue with the feed loading that had not previously been an issue. I have fixed the issue and submitted a new version (2.11) to the gallery. It will be posted as soon as Yahoo has a chance to review it for the gallery. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope that Yahoo will post the update soon. Thank you for using the widget!

Hey! This was a great widget until the 2.1 update!!! It won't fetch the headlines anymore! I think you fixed this issue in the new 2.11 update but it says its not available for download! When can you fix this?
