The Othello Widget lets you play the game of Othello against the computer. Options are provided for difficulty level, piece flipping animation, and board size. There is full Undo and Hint capability.

To play, place pieces on empty spaces on the board so that your (black) pieces surround the opponent's white pieces on a line - horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The opponent's pieces that are surrounded are then flipped over to match the colour of the new piece. Each play must eithe…r surround one or more of the opponent's pieces, or the player must pass without placing a new piece on the board.
