Pete, I think the real reason you haven't been able to use this widget is you haven't installed TivoWebPlus on your Tivo. You can download TivoWebPlus here http://tivowebplus.sourceforge.net/
You'll need to hack your Tivo to install TivoWebPlus by removing the Tivo's hard drive and placing it in a PC running a special configured Linux bootcd. Just Google Tivo Hacking to find more info on this subject

I'm a newbie at this. I have a series 2 hooked up with tivo desktop and can log in online to schedule new programs. I think I figured out that the http://mytivo part is either the name of my tivo, or the ip address (both of which I have tried) where do I find my domain name? Can someone give me a step by step guide please?

This widget is all I have wanted to remotely manage my TiVo. Next time you're making some changes Paul, could you add a setting for the background transparency so that I can put the widget over some of the darker parts of my desktop and still see it.
