Sometimes a web site has just one piece of information you find interesting or want to keep track of (without having to constantly start your browser and visit the site). You could write your own custom Widget, or, if you're up to the challenge of using Regular Expressions, this simple tool can save you the trouble.
Regular Expressions are NOT for the faint of heart. If you're not an experienced computer programmer, please think twice before trying to use this Widget. Even programmers have a hard time with them.
The exercise of learning Regular Expressions, and figuring out what you need to get the text you want, is on you. See the Help file for a bit more information and examples.
Simply enclose whatever you want to capture within a single Regular Expression group. Less

Where *IS* the help file ???
Steve SSomewhere I saw a reference to accessing help by right clicking the widget but I only see "Hide Widget", "Reveal Widget in Windows Explorer", "Delete Widget" and "Close Widget". With an example or two I should be able to figure the regex I need.. Maybe the help file is hiding somewhere in plain sight... ~ Thanks

November 16, 2007 · version 1.4.2 DiegoThis is exactly what I was looking for. I use it to scrape net monitoring results and display them on my pc. My only feature request would be to be able to scrape for a result code so as to be able to dynamically set the text color for the primary scrape dialog. Is that doable? I.E. when something went down I could change the text color to red based on a result code that was printed in the xml.

November 16, 2007 · version 1.4.2 gazzagaryqI wish to have two page scraper's open at once (1 with a radom quote and the other my daily horoscope). I have tried renaming the widget name however they both only show one item. Could you advise how to do this?
