Like many others, I get N/A for Yahoo. But I noticed that after I've updated the account and then go back to the account preferences, my password has been truncated at 6 characters. So maybe it's OK for those who want to use 6 characters or less for a password. I haven't used 6 character passwords for at least a decade. And since there has been no version update since 2005, I don't expect there'll be any resolution to the problems posted here.
The concept is brilliant, the ex…ecution an abysmal failure. But if anyone wants to spend a half hour and see if it works for their particular circumstancesit it's worth a try. BTW, the donation for the OpenSSL is not a requirement so don't fall into that trap.
There's a serious need for a widget like this for those of us who don't have an ISP because we're using Wi-Fi. ePrompter is the best solution I've found but it's not a widget and it has some serious limitations, too. More

This is a good approach, and I like the small screen footprint, but I have grown tired of programs like ePrompter not getting their program fixed, so I decided to try using widgets to check my SBCGlobal/Yahoo accounts, Hotmail accounts, and Gmail accounts. I have a bunch of kids, so I check their accounts, and all my accounts from over the years. I can read Gmail with this, but like always, Yahoo has deliberately made it hard for any of their users to use anything except their webpage, which is …exactly what they are all trying to do. Do let them fool you. They don't have to do all of this stuff for security. They just need your eyes to see their opening pages, so they can sell advertising.
If someone had a widget that can do more than one Yahoo/SBCGlobal, and a different widget that can do more than one Gmail account, I can do that. Can't someone just find a way to simply check all these accounts without having to open a browser or email client? More

It does not work. I tried everything. Downloaded SSb and to install it it required me to donate $10.00 from my Paypal ( which I did) and it does not work.
I only wanted it for my Yahoo mail.
