Popcheck Mail Checker mk2
Popcheck Mail Checker is a Widget for checking how many messages you have on your POP3, Gmail, IMAP, Yahoo! and Hotmail Accounts.
Popcheck can now play a different new mail sound for each account. Each account can now also have its own, user-definable background color.
This Widget will display as many accounts as you like, and will display them horizontally or vertically according to your preference. Tooltips give you additional information as needed, and if you're using this with webmail accounts, buttons become available to allow you to connect to the corresponding website.
[Author's Note: Yahoo! and Hotmail are currently only supported on the PC platform, and require OpenSSL to be installed. If you do not have it installed, you will be prompted to download and install it.]

Win32 OpenSSLThis Widget is so poorly written, I don't know where to begin. First off, it requires OpenSSL to be installed to operate (and appears to alter the homepage to Win32 OpenSSL every time you start your browser until you install it - without any explanation!). Second, it doesn't work for several of the account types. Third, it looks ugly (visually atrocious). Finally, it hasn't been updated in forever.
I saw someone named 'maggie' here who was "ripped off" by OpenSSL. I'm the author of Win32 OpenSSL, so if you still want a refund, just ask (assuming one of us can still find the transaction). It is a donation-based project that is fully approved of by the OpenSSL developers and, for the most part, people are happy to donate. It takes time and effort to help the various people that ask for help and to deploy each release of OpenSSL in a timely manner. People are usually generous in understanding that sort of thing. But stuff like this seriously ticks me off and I'm glad to help in whatever way is deemed necessary to rectify the situation. Less

MistyIt's nice to finally find a widget that supports multiple Gmail accounts but it doesn't automatically log you in which is what I'm looking for.

Too bad for Yahoo!
Felipe Chacóni doesn't works with yahoo mail, like Larry said, this version is very old, and there's no updates, so I'll have to search again for a checker that really works with this (note that official yahoo mail checker... no comments)
