This Widget shows the Islamic prayer times for the latitude and longitude provided. It can also show the weather for a particular location from CNN Weather.
This shows that it is a product that has high demand. But needs these changes applied:
1. Ability to change Islamic calender date - as showing incorrectly at the moment.
2. Need 2 twilight angles
3. Need 24 hour clock
4. Time saving adjustment
5. Ability to move the Widget
Jazakallah brother for this widget. Your efforts are much appreciated. However, my Asr prayer time is one hour behind my Zuhr, and it seemed confused at AM/PM convention. If you can fix this, masyaAllah it will be the best widget on my desktop.
Just so everyone is aware, I am copying the release notes for this version at the end of this message.
As far as the asr times are concerned, if the time showing is different by about an hour from your local asr time, it is probably because of the school (shafii or hanafi) that is being followed in your area. There is a setting in the "Prayer Times" tab of the widget's preferences called "Asr time calculation method". Please pick the …school that you want to use to calculate the right time.
For the different twilight angle, I will have to make change to the code to add that as a feature. However, you can approximate that effect by always adding or subtracting a fixed time from one of the prayers in the "More Prayer Times" tab of the widget preferences.
Release notes for version 4:
1) Show only Hanafi or Shafii Asr times
2) Provide custom titles for each prayer
3) Provide delays in minutes for Athan to be played after the actual prayer time - e.g. if you want Maghrib Athan to always be played 3 mins after Maghrib time
4) Provide specific times for Athans to be played for each prayer, e.g. if you always want to hear the Athan for Zuhr prayer at 1:30 pm, you can do that
5) The CNN weather forecast has been updated to work with the new CNN Weather site
(so you will need to update the url for the CNN weather forecast)More
