This Widget brings up a default NCBI Pubmed search for the term entered. Pubmed is a useful free biology / medecine database.

I know embarassingly little about javascript, http, and different character coding schemes. YTambe, if you understand how to solve this problem, it might be better to implement the fix yourself. Likewise, neuromania, if you want better artwork, feel free to create it. I hate to be an unhelpful developer, but this was meant primarily as a learning exercise for me, and an attempt to be helpful to the person who posted in the forums asking for a pubmed search tool. I don't mean to be unsym…pathetic, but I don't fully understand how to fix the encoding problem. As for artwork, I agree, but I'm no artist. Less

Script for replacing chars cause the problem on 2-byte chars system, at least JP. Escape such chars with backslash and save as UTF-8, please.

Works fine for me....it would be nice to have a little artwork or label to set it apart from other search boxes.
