This is a good idea but I tried your instructions and after the mod, the widget gave me a message that it could not load itself. Please add this URL option to the preferences so it is easliy modified. Thanks.

I figured out the refresh problem. Has to do with static vs. dynamic images. I can't imagine that the refresh is working for anyone on Konf 2.0. If the refresh is actually working for someone, please post here and let me the know your platforma nd Konf version.

Anyway, I've got it working, but want to do a few more things. I'll post an update later.

No refresh ocurring for me as well. If it matters, I did change the local radar image web site and works fine with it.
