I switched to this widget after the RSS_News_Reader by John Hinds wouldn't display one of my feeds correctly. Seems to work well - just one comment: The "About" information might be wrong. Mine says it's version 1.2.1, but it does include the search feature and "green" theme so I suspect it's really 1.3.1. You might want to fix this to avoid confusion. Good otherwise.

Thanks Terry! So mike and others that have commented on it taking up resources while idle, could anyone provide me with more details? How many people have this problem? In theory, when idle, the widget is doing nothing. Maybe its an issue with Konfab itself? And Ben, I agree that the widget is a bit flat. The next revision will have a fix for the character encoding problem, and the revision after that will be a big upgrade in the user interface and look-n-feel. The Best RSS widget avaiable, period. Totally customizable. Easy to use, and it dosent hog a lot of desktop space. Its low on system resources too. :)

My one comment is it that it is the only flat/2D widget on my desktop. If your anything like me your just a programmer and arent about to win any awards in the graphic design department. Anyway I'm sure this widget is very popular now so try get some young talented guru to design you a 3D looking ala Yahoo Weather looking widget and it be able to be beat!
