Paul,
Great widget however I have discovered two issues. First,.... If a incorrect RSS feed is entered then users may not be able to recover from a the constant " Refeshing feed " mode. One of the links I entered must have been errored because as soon as I entered the link, the bar has stayed on "Refreshing feed" There is NO way to recover from this issue! Currently in ver 1.7.0 a user can not edit the feed because right clicking requires an existing feed to click on. Suggest… More

Paul,
I like this widget. I like controling RSS from My Yahoo.
My networked machine that is my "Window on the World" is about 6 ft from my chair, so I am interested in choosing larger fonts.

Great extension, use it all the time. Only bug I can see is that the "Article freshness" doesn't work properly with different timezones, e.g. if the pubDate tag is in the form "Wed, 17 Jan 2007 14:08:59 GMT" (ala BBC News) then it is correct, but if the pubDate is in the form "Wed, 17 Jan 2007 05:43:17 CET" then its freshness says "Over a year ago".

I really admire this ticker news reader, but I've found one display problem: much of the time, apostrophes are rendered as dashes, at least on my computer. I tried experimenting with different fonts, but the problem still occurs. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this, and if there might be a solution.

The freshness info is a good addition but...

I would prefer it if the info was displayed more concisely,
i.e. [1hr] or [30min] rather than [1 hour ago] or [30 minutes ago],
in order to minimize the time it takes to scroll thru headlines.

or maybe just display this info in the popup window.
