I use this widget to determine when it's best to have a baby. We are trying and we want one. So this is great! And we ARE married, for 13 years and trying for our forth child.

Wow, I am surprised at this thread. But the safest sex that I know is waiting on your husband or wife, by keeping your body pure, something the world seems to know nothing about now days. But by waiting on your partner you are actually don't have to ever worry about getting anything you can't cure or possibly dieing from.

People are going to continue to have sex, but it would be of someones best interest to wait, while honoring your body.

It's called the "Shettles Method".

The Shettles Method is based on the fact that the Y chromosome bearing sperm are smaller and less robust but move faster than the larger X chromosome bearing sperm. Therefore, if you have intercourse a couple of days before your ovulation date, you increase your chances of having a girl because a large number of the Y chromosome bearing sperm will have died, leaving more X chromosome bearing sperm. If you wait until your ovulation date (or short…ly thereafter, such as the next day) you increase your chance of conceiving a boy since the Y chromosome bearing sperm are faster and have more of a chance at making it to the ovum first.

I'm not saying it works (and I don't plan to find out any time soon! lol), but that's the theory behind it. More

I thought this widget used too much room on my desktop so I put in in Heads Up view mode thinking it would shrink down. Now it's gone... running somewhere invisibily. I think it's because HU is a Mac thing and I have a PC. If anyone can help, please reply to this. I think the widget is only useful as a period tracker anyway and isn't too important for me not to junk it.
