I downloaded v3.1 and get the same problem of no text on widget. The debugger shows this when I open the widget:

If I right-click on the graphic of the sun in the widget I get an error message saying "Can't get WidgetHelper to Accept Commands...Widget Closing..." then the widget closes when I click OK. More

I submitted v3.1 and it was rejected... Don't ask!!! Anyway, I refixed the problem and resubmitted Jan 29. It should be released soon. That is unless they find some other problem with it. Hopefully all will go well.

I updated to Widgets 4.5 and the widget shows up but no text links are visible to click on. I saw the last post on 1/12 where you stated a new version 3.1 is available. It still shows 3.0 as the last version. Any update?

Released v3.1 today. This will take care of the problem I described in the earlier post. I am wondering if anybody has run this widget with Vista? If widget did not run in Vista, does it run now with this new version? And if it still does not run, can you describe the symptoms? Thanks. VictorLion

As the author of this widget, I have in the past not had any problems with the widget running correctly. I started out with a PRE-version 4 and upgraded to v4 months ago. So a week or so ago, I uninstalled Yahoo Widgets and then re-installed engine v4. As predicted by others, the widget no longer would run. So, for me, until I find an explanation (I am very busy right now), I have used a very simple work around.

Search your hard drive for "widgethelper.exe". When found, place a shortc…ut to it on your desktop. Now when you want to run Sat Images Widget, FIRST start up "widget helper". It is invisible, so to insure it is running start Windows Task Manager (ctrl-alt-del) and look in the list. Then, when running, start the widget up. It should run then. "widget helper" will end, when the widget ends.

Until I find a fix or a reason for that matter for the problem, this work around will have to do.
