The concept of savings for savings sake is still a bit abstract even for today's sophisticated kid consumers. A bit of visualization and a concrete goal can be helpful. Hence Savings Bell.
Limited characters - my "Bank deposit - May 17th" Shows up as "Bank deposi", also I wanted to save up $10,000 back up income, but it only showed "0000.00" -
Sigh guess I'll keep using "savings meter", I was searching for something even smaller then that!

I love this widget BUT - it's way too big! My resolution is a common 1024 x 768 and it takes up about 1/4th of the screen.
I'd like to have this about size of the Yahoo Weather widget - that way I'd be able to keep about 4 different goals on my screen!
Bigger isn't better, please don't be a widget hog - i mean come on if everyone's widget was this size the average person would only be able to have 4 widgets open on their screen at the same time.
PLEASE shrink it. Doe…s anyone know if their is a way for me to shrink it myself?
P.S. I LOVE this widget it's just too darn big.More

I cannot see the goal either. I am running the new Konfabulator with Windows XP. Cool widget though.

Very neat, but would be more useful for non-Americans with currencies less worth than the dollar (not all of Europe has switched to the euro yet) if there was more room to the left. Hacking the widget to show an other currency unit is easy, but unfortunately most take more room than the dollar sign, and so even saving up for a G5 yields so many digits that the leftmost ones get cut off. Anything I've tried to fix this cosmetically has made the widget impossible to load. Konfabulator windows… draw from the upper left corner, so making them bigger doesn't help either. A version of Savings Bell without support for the decimals would be just fine too.More
