Colin, If you want some help with widget screen capture, let me know. I was able to create (with the help of YYY) a C# application that uses the BitBlt function and the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to capture layered windows. Send me a PM (to meskibob through the forums) and I can find you the links I used from "TheCodeProject" website, and if needed my source code.

Kurt - I think you may need to look at removing the saved preference information from the widget engine directory... your best bet would be to go into the forums and ask how to remove preference information for a specific widget.

OK, I love this widget. It was working great until I changed some preferences. I even uninstalled it and downloaded it again and it is still not working . Please help.

Works as described, but what if you wish to capture a widget? They don't show up?????
In all fairness, widgets don't show up on any one else's screen capture programs either.

After testing this "widget" to and reading all the feedback, it was perfect except for some minor flaws in its design.

1. Allow a 3rd type of screen shot to be taken: A User-Drawn Area
A. Allow the user to draw...
a free form shape
a square based shape
a circular based shape

2. Allow the user to name the picture as soon as its taken.
A. Put that in prefrences, allow the user to choose if
they… would like to name it right after its taken or later.

3. After the screen shot is taken show a sample, and ask the user...
"Is this okay, or would you like to retake the photo?"
A. Once the user accepts the photo give them options to change the
photo before saving like, making it bigger or smaller, change the
colors to black and white, etc.
