When I close the widget all user data is lost except for the name of the last category that I created. All shortcuts disappear. Anyone found a fix for this yet? Otherwise, great design; I'd love to get it working.

ok guys couple flaws in my ghetto fix. you can only get the shortcut files to the websites to work if you drag and drop them into the menu which isnt too much of an invonvenience, and for the links, if you ever click ok from the edit link properties menu on one of these links it will not work after that so all you can do is hit cancel from there. you would think i would get a different shortcut widget, but i like the look and versatility of this one and if you feel the same way this should be all i have to say on the broken link subject

i just wanted the widget to work the way it used to, but i couldnt wait for you to get around to it. enjoy guys and remember for this fix to work for your url links, you have to create a file of the link and add that as if it were a plain old file.

you will see 2 importnat lines starting with "var strcommand =" and ending with runcommand(strcommand); " delete these 2 lines, but dont delete this semicolon, there is another semicolon in the middle of these 2 lines that you can delete but not this last one. now just copy the text from 2 lines below this one "filesystem.open(strPath)" and paste it where the longer line that you deleted was. make sure both of these same commands looklike this disregarding the… quotations " filesystem.open(strPath); " this will allow you to place a shorcut "file" for your url and it will open just fine. save the new file and copy it from your desktop over the one in the zip folder. then just change the .zip to .widget and enjoy. thank you colin henderson for this widget. i love this widget because it keeps my desktop and my startmenu thinger clean, but with the new update it wouldnt link even with created shortcut files (like it used to), but i created a ghetto fix to it (you will still have to create link files on your HD, but now they will work). place the widget on your desktop. make sure you set your comp so you can see the file extensions and change the ".widget" extension to .zip. after that open the zip file then open the folder then open con…tents, resources, and js folders. right clcik on shortcutlauncher.js and copy it to your desktop. then right click on the file in your desktop and hit edit. now it shouldve opened the java script in notepad. scroll down till you see "function shorcutmousedown(shortcutid)" it will be one of the left most lines so it should stick out. it the indented text underneath this line you will see 2 important lines starting with "var strcommand =" and ending with "runcommand(s More
