I wrote to SIRIUS customercare and issued a complaint about them breaking this wonderful application. Below is their responce:
We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us regarding SIRIUS Internet radio. We are here to assist you!

Every 90 minutes, we check to see if you're still there and to make sure that you're still listening to the player. If you're not, the player will shut down after five minutes of the message being up there. If you are there, all you have to do is… click the button and you can continue listening. We do this so that we're not streaming to computers that have no listeners, to maintain optimum performance for active listeners.

My Responce back to them:

I (when the system was working with the widget) would play the Sirius as background music in my home. If I were entertaining guests or working around the house I could listen to the stream. Now every 90 minutes I must leave my guests, or drop what I am doing and go to the computer to confirm I am still listening. You are thinking of this as a person sitting at a PC, that is NOT what most people use the internet service for. Many have invested thousands in home entertainment systems, this includes a media PC for streaming audio and video throughout the home.

Please escalate this to your marketing and/or leadership as I feel Sirius is missing the point and stands to lose many subscribers as a result.

Any user who is missing this app should take the time to complain to SIRIUS.

The Sirius website is a pain to navigate. Who would think making it hard to use your product for paying customers would be a solid business strategy? Thanks to the Sirius Tuner...it's easy. I hope you're able to get around the latest Sirius hurdle and help them to keep their customers happy...something they seem to have a lot of problems doing on their own.

Love this widget and can't wait for the fix. A sirius app. for my new droid would be totally fantastic.

This Sirius Tuner app is great and I can see why Sirius is blocking it. Sirius wants to drag you through their website in hopes that you will browse and purchase their other services and products that they have to offer. I hate having to go to the Sirius website and have to log in and I especially dislike typing in that very annoying security code. With this smart widget a few quick clicks and your listening to your favorite music. I hope Mr. Tanner will circumvent Sirius efforts and get the widget back online soon.

I too love this widget. It is the only reason I installed Yahoo Widgets on my computers. I think found a solution to the auto disconnect that Sirius feels the need to put into their player. However, it will only work if you start the music and walk away. It won't work if you are working at the computer. I have a "Media Center" PC that I use to play music and movies. I don't use it to do work or anything else on.

Install an "Auto Mouse Clicker" The one I downlo…aded can be found at: http://www.brothersoft.com/automouseclicker-25176.html Connect to the Sirius player and wait until it auto disconnects (you'll see "Are you still listening. Click here" DO NOT click on the message. Open the Auto Clicker and set the cursor coordinates to be right on top of the "Are you still listening" message. and set the interval to be every minute (60000ms). Then click START and walk away. I've had it playing for 24 hours plus.

I hope it works for all of you until Tanner J can get his widget fixed. More
