Sleep Timer

This Widget lets you set a timer to put your computer to sleep. Once the timer has elapsed, your computer will either go to sleep (aka hibernate/standby), log off, shut down, or restart, depending on the option you choose.

Click on the bed to start the timer and to expand/contract the Widget while the timer is running. Click on the time when the timer is stopped to cycle through preset sleep times, or set the countdown time manually in preferences.

Scott, you need to get Konfabulator to use Widgets. You can get it from the "Downloads" link at the top of this page.

I've downloaded the widget but can't open it- it doesn't automatically open and I don't know which program to "open with." Sorry, basic computer skills here but this is exactly what i've been looking for. Thanks for your help.

pixel, it sounds like what you're experiencing would be caused by Konfabulator being improperly shut down, or for some reason having the "Welcome" widget running. Try quitting Konfabulator manually and restarting it, and then see if the welcome widget comes up when you restart Konfabulator.

version 1.1.1 shuts down perfect. but now I get this annoying pop-up window every time i load sleep timer, saying "welcome to konfabulator 2.1.1 [..]" and listing what is new to sleep timer - every time!
