Same with me, AVG recently warn me that this program is a Trojan. But that's when I updated my AVG with the latest virus definition.

I already use this widget for quite a long time, I agree, the warning are false alarm.

BEWARE!! Contains Win32 Trojan. Found by Avast.

Hey all, this is Jozerworx, author of the widget. There is NO TROJAN in this widget. If you don't believe me, ask the guys who run the site, who inspect every single widget before they post it. The program Speedread.exe is a very small (52,786 bytes) program that reads speedfan's shared memory to display the temperatures. If you do not believe me, try unzipping the widget (change .widget file to .zip file), extract the contents, and run speedread.exe located in contents/resources/exe…. You will need to run the program from the command line, and the output will look something like this:

Fans: 5

52.0 38.0 [lots more numbers here]

The numbers you get will probably be different. I'm no expert, but I do not believe that most viruses would fit into an 52kb file an leave room for anything else. Also, I have tested this program with multiple other (much more reputable) antivirus scanners without problem. AVG and Avast are free, and has one of the lowest detection rates of any package available. I am computer geek so here is how to get it work is to type "speedfan download" on google OR copy this link http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php and paste it and its NOT a virus or anything. Also I have AVG and it even NOT show up said its a virus, worm, trogian, etc! Its fine. IT required to download this link I just give and then download this widget above my comment and review. IT really works! If you dont believe me then its your problem not mine. I have college Master Degree. Smile! Hope it find you happy now! Smile
